The Joys to Come Will Last Forever
“So, we don’t look at the troubles we have right now, rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.”
2 Corinthians 4:18
My heart breaks today for the family of Charlie Kirk, for every young adult who looked to him for leadership and truth, and for our entire country who needed a strong voice for God and peace. We can no longer fail to acknowledge the truth of the war we have been fighting – the battle between good and evil has become increasingly evident to those who have eyes to see – who are willing to see the darkness for what it is and utilize the mighty name of Jesus and the powerful Word of God to fight against it.
We cannot bury our heads in the sand and ignore what is happening around us. Just as Esther was called by God to stand against fear to approach King Xerxes to plead for the life of her people, the Jews, we are being called by God to stand, to fight in the spirit, and to pull down every stronghold of the devil.
This is no time to back down, no time to isolate and pretend that if we are silent, we won’t be harmed. We can no longer hide from the enemy, hoping we will somehow survive these attacks of the enemy. We must unite and stand together as believers in Jesus Christ to declare and decree God’s presence, goodness, and power over the United States and the rest of the world.
Make no mistake, God’s glory is flooding the earth. Satan knows his time is short. The shaking has begun. Are we ready? Julie Green, a powerful voice for God today, has given several prophetic words lately in which God is asking, “Are you ready?” Are we ready? Are we united in Jesus, or are we divided by so many denominations and leaders who are unwilling or too cowardly to stand for truth?
The shaking has begun. It will not be for everyone. But you can be ready if you are willing to stand, willing to ask God for ears to hear and eyes to see, willing to proclaim His Word to thwart the enemy’s attacks.
God has promised us victory. He declared that Satan was under our feet. And Jesus and His disciples exhorted believers with many powerful verses to strengthen our faith in times of war.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God…” (2 Cor. 10:3-5)
“Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm…” (Eph. 6:13-18 – read all)
“Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)
“The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I (Jesus) came that they (you) may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
“The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” (Luke 10:17) *Demons are subject to US in the name of Jesus Christ!
“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” (Eph. 6:10)
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in any way harm you.” (Luke 10:19)
“The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.” (Nahum 1:7)
There are so many Bible verses to strengthen our faith and remind us that God has the victory – WE have the victory!
Today, I offer prayers for Charlie Kirk’s family and for all who call Jesus, Lord. We are in the heat of the battle, but we will not give up or give in. We will call on the name of the LORD to strengthen us and to save. I plead the blood of Jesus over every believer and call down the plans, plots, schemes, and assignments of the devil, in Jesus’ mighty name.
The darkness might appear to be winning, but those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength and continue to walk by faith and not by sight.
THE VICTORY IS THE LORD’S!
WE WILL OVERCOME!
GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US!
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER!
THE JOYS TO COME WILL LAST FOREVER!
